Class Schedule

When you purchase a machine at Ken's Sewing Center our customer service does not stop there. Your purchase comes with 1000 free lessons so that you may learn how to operate every function of your machine. In addition, we offer a variety of classes and seminars including, but not limited to, machine embroidery, software, quilting, and basic sewing. The staff and teachers at Ken's Sewing Center strive to make your class not only a fun learning experience but one where you can exchange ideas with others who share your hobby. We are always open to new ideas for classes, so please let us know if you are interested in a particular sewing topic.

Here's a current list of classes and seminars scheduled at Ken's Sewing Center:

Brother Luminaire Club

Brother Luminaire Club will meet the second Wednesday of each month.  Wednesday, June 12 we will begin to make a machine cover for our machine.  The pattern is from  The embroidery design I used is from Graceful Embroidery, Antique Machine or you can use one of your own.  I have combined some of the Graceful Embroidery designs on my sample so if you purchase the designs I will be happy to share my combined designs with you.  I have an English Garden design that I designed a number of years ago and I have some sewing related items that I can share with you also.  In June we will cut out our fabric and start our embroidery designs.  You can finish your embroidery designs at home and then in July we will do the construction.

You will need 2 ½ yards pre-quilted double-sided fabric, 7 ½ yards of ¼” or 3/16” piping cord, and 1 yard of good quality cotton contrasting fabric to cover your piping.  I bought my pre-quilted double-sided fabric from JoAnne’s and my ¼" or 3/16” piping cord from Hobby Lobby but JoAnne’s has it also.  We will only be making the machine cover and embroidery unit cover.

Please let me know if you are coming so we can have enough places for everyone.
